ANDY CHOMOS WINS AT BROWN BARREL

Remember what I wrote about Andy Chomos in Thursday's Roundup? After finishing 7th, then 5th, then 3rd in his recent Harvest Moon final tables, I told him, "Keep that pattern going, Andy, and we know where you'll finish next!"
Well, would you look at that. Monday night at Brown Barrel, Andy finished FIRST! I'd love to claim some sort of supernatural poker-predicting ability, but frankly, I'm just as surprised as everyone else!
He certainly didn't take the easy route. With four players remaining, we had one of those hands that makes a tournament director wonder whether there'll be anyone left to deal the next one! Short-stacked Amit Jhamb was all-in before the flop, David Rawlings was involved, and Marcus Berberick and Andy both shoved their stacks into the middle. David called, leaving all four players with a stake in one enormous showdown!
Andy had pocket fives, and somehow those little soldiers held up against the opposition! He dragged in the monster pot, while David's king-high was good for a smaller side pot. The dust settled with Amit and Marcus out, and David left with barely enough chips to mount a comeback.
A few hands later, David limped into a pot against Andy, who was quietly sitting on pocket aces. The flop came 8♣3♥K♦, giving David bottom pair with his 10♥3♣, and he shoved. Andy called immediately with his A♥A♣. The J♣ turn and 5♥ river brought no rescue, and the tournament was over!
WTG, Andy!
That's Andy's fourth career victory and his first of Harvest Moon, coming just four days after his third-place finish. David took second, and Marcus finished third.
So there you have it: 7th, 5th, 3rd, 1st. I'm tempted to tell Andy where he'll finish next, but even I can't figure out how to improve on first place!
