CAROL ANNE FITZ-ROBB WINS AT CARRIGAN ARMS

Carol Anne Fitz-Robb returned to Carrigan Arms on Sunday night and reminded everyone that while she may have given up ownership of the league, she certainly hasn't forgotten how to collect the chips!

With 44 players battling it out, the final three made for a particularly interesting showdown. There was Ozzy Sousa, our current points leader, looking to add another victory to his impressive season. Christina Kennedy, fresh off Wednesday's win, was hoping to make it two in a row. And then there was Carol Anne Fitz-Robb, the former owner, looking to show these two hotshots a thing or two!

As it turned out, Carol Anne only needed one hand to settle the matter!

Ozzy shoved all-in with A♠8♣, Christina was already all-in from the small blind for less with 8♦3♥, and Carol Anne, holding Q♣10♥ and enough chips to cover them both, made the call.

Before the flop, Christina announced, "I need a three!" Unfortunately for her, I wasn't taking requests. Instead, the flop came 10♦10♠4♠, giving Carol Anne three tens! The J♥ turn and 2♠ river changed nothing, and just like that, Christina was eliminated in third, Ozzy finished second, and Carol Anne had knocked out BOTH opponents in a single hand!

WTG, Carol Anne!

It was Carol Anne's fourth career victory, and she certainly earned it, collecting nine bounties, making her the night's Bounty Queen. 👑

And Carol Anne wanted me to point out one more thing. Unlike most players, she refuses to redeem Reward Cards for extra starting chips. She's been determined to win a tournament without taking that advantage, and after some 40 or 50 attempts, she's finally done it! Nobody can accuse this woman of lacking patience. Or stubbornness!

Lesli Gladstone continued her remarkable consistency, finishing eighth for her 10th final table and 15th in-the-points finish of the season!

Not a bad night at the saloon, especially for the woman who used to own the place!
