CHRIS HIGHAM WINS AT BROWN BARREL

Apparently third place on Monday wasn't good enough for Chris Higham. He returned to the Brown Barrel on Thursday and took the whole thing down, collecting eight bounties along the way! WTG, Chris! It was his second win of Harvest Moon and seventh of his career. Chris was also one of our four-time winners during Dog Days, so that 🔥 beside his name is certainly well-earned!

The final hand saw Rod Comeau limp in with K♥4♠, while Chris Higham checked his option holding 9♥2♥.

The flop came 4♦3♥10♥, giving Rod a pair of fours and Chris a flush draw. Rod bet, Chris called, and the 5♥ on the turn completed Chris's flush. Rod fired another bet, and Chris calmly called again, keeping his monster hand under wraps.

The 9♣ on the river changed nothing. Rod bet for a third time, but this time Chris came over the top with an all-in shove! Rod called, only to discover that Chris had been sitting on a flush since the turn!

But here's the kicker. We hadn't counted their chips beforehand, and it wasn't until after the hand that we discovered both players had started with exactly the same amount! That meant whoever won that final hand was going to win the tournament. Chris had sprung his trap at exactly the right moment and walked away with the victory!

That left Rod, our 2025 Cabin Fever Months champion, as the runner-up, while Andy Chomos took third. Andy has been steadily climbing the ladder at his Harvest Moon final tables, finishing seventh, then fifth, and now third. Keep that pattern going, Andy, and we know where you'll finish next!

Glenn "Murph" Murphy rounded out the top four, making his seventh final table in just 14 Harvest Moon appearances. He's also finished in the points ten times. At this rate, we might have to start charging him rent for that final-table seat!
